Won it for Wally
Today's game was for Wally. A lineman from the 2004 Palouse Thunder team. He has an award named after him in the Evergreen Football League. It is for the Offense Line of the Year.

He died on April 30th. The EFL had a league-wide moment of silence for Wally.

Cheer Tryouts!
Hey everyone,
Cheer tryouts were a huge success and we are really looking forward to our third year supporting the Thunder. Please let us know when team pics are so we can all try and be there. Last year only half of us could come because we only knew a couple of days in advance, so the sooner the better. Thanks guys!

Go Thunder!

Announcer for this weekend
Scotty is not going to be able to make the game this weekend. Does anyone know someone who might want to announce the game on Saturday?

Heartbreaker
Today's game is one that can be chalked up as a heartbreaker. There was a lot of excitment. The fans were really loud. That made it fun. A couple missed opportunities could have made the outcome very different.

Many of the new players made an impact on the team and on the game today. I am looking forward to up coming games!

Another Victory Under the Belt
Yesterday's game had some ugly moments and a few too many penalties. But the team over came it all to cruise to a 30 to 6 victory over the visiting Snake River Sabercats. They came all the way up from near Boise to play the Thunder in Lapwai. Lapwai, again, was a great host town and some of the people who came to watch the game stayed in the parking lot lighting off fireworks after the National Anthem, and after each Thunder Score. That was pretty cool.

One of the new palyer, Hixson, was out there and made some plays. It was fun to watch kicked Brian Decicio help on a tackle during one kick off.

In all it was a decent game and I think it showed the Thunder players that they can compete and some places where they can improve. After all that is what the pre-season games are all about.

Practice
Hey Guys,

We are going to hold a full practice at 5:30 at the sprint turf. We know that it is hard to get everyone there, but lets all make an effort and try and get as many players as possible. Bus hit the phone list etc..

Great Victory!!!
We did start off on the right foot. I was expecting great thing from the team this year and I saw lots of great things Saturday on both side of the ball. Adding size to both of our lines has helped. Our line backers look strong as ever and the much needed stength in our secondary is going to be huge this year. Andy and Dan were thowing the ball real well. Brandon look very good running the ball and was frustated when we kept him out the second half. I think Brandon is going to light this league up with his running the ball this year, he is an amazing back that fans will really enjoy coming out to watch. The Thunder is glad to Joe Pagel back and adding 3 other OL Will, Price and Gus Brandon will have lots of hole to choose from this year. The Tunder would like to especially thank all the fans that support us with out you the Thunder would not be on the field. We all look forward to giving you our best season and hope to see you in the EFL Championship game then moving on to Regional and National Tiltes.

Starting on the Right Foot!
I have seen a lot of improvement in this team over last years' team. The D looked tough and the offense look exciting. I am looking forward to next weeks game against the Snake River SaberCats.

Lapwai Field is a nice field and we had a nice turn out of fans at the game and I would like to thank all the fans who were there to cheer on the team -- A 47-6 victory!
